A crash scene, a fire, or an industrial incident cannot be frozen with photographs alone. Distances, sight lines, and where an object sat in the room disappear once rescue and clean-up start. A SLAM walk takes minutes and leaves a cloud you can measure later.
Lock the room, measure afterwards
The P2 and S2 do not need prisms set out. The operator walks, the cloud builds live, and investigators can later cut sections and distances in Trion Model. The same logic as archiving a building before demolition — see Overschild.
